SOS Children’s Villages Malawi has installed a solar-powered irrigation system in Group Village Head Phazi to help with winter cropping. This initiative addresses food insecurity caused by natural disasters like floods and droughts in Chikwawa. The system can irrigate about 30 hectares of farmland, providing a crucial solution for the community’s needs.
