The Scotland-Malawi Youth and Schools event was a wonderful opportunity for us, to come together with our friends from Scotland and discuss how we can make our school partnerships even better. The plan was could to share ideas and learn from each other.
One of the most exciting parts of the event was welcoming Ian Mitchell, also known as ‘Mitch,’ who joined the SMP team as the Youth & Schools Officer. He has a lot of experience in connecting schools in Scotland with schools in Malawi, and we were thrilled to have him on board.
The event featured an assembly of distinguished speakers, including educators from both Malawi and Scotland who shared pragmatic strategies for partnership success and Ms. Natalie Lorimer, who unveiled a novel resource designed to enhance the efficacy of such collaborations.
