The President of Malawi His Excellency Dr. Lazarus Chakwera announced a new 27 member Cabinet on the 31st of January 2023 through the Office of President and Cabinet. The new cabinet has 13% less members than the previous one and is comprised of 40 % Women.
In the new cabinet, the president has fired seven ministers and three deputies who were part of the previous one.
