On June 17, 2021, Malawi-Scotland Partnership donated 15,000 reusable cotton masks in the districts of Thyolo and Mulanje. Thyolo received 10,000 masks and Mulanje 5,000 masks respectively.
This is in line with our continued fight against Covid-19 through enhancement of precaution measures, one being wearing of masks.The masks are meant for schools, 18 in Thyolo and 10 in Mulanje respectively having a total of 28 schools.
In Thyolo, the donation exercise took place at Nachipere Primary School and the event was graced by Thyolo District Commissioner, while in Mulanje the masks were donated at District Education Managers office and the DEM is expected to distribute them to the 10 schools in the cluster.
